About the course

What is this course based on? +
Simply Said: Communicating Better at Work and Beyond by Jay Sullivan — a practical book about audience-focused, succinct, well-structured communication. Make Your Point turns the book's principles into 25 short, daily exercises. We're fans of the book; this is the practice habit it deserves.
Why is it called Make Your Point? +
Two reasons. First, it's literally what the course teaches — Jay Sullivan's central argument is that great communicators lead with the point and back into the reasoning. The name is a daily reminder of that principle. Second, it's a command, not a description. The course isn't about communication theory; it's about doing something specific, every weekday, until you communicate differently. The name asks for action.
Do I need to have read the book? +
No. Make Your Point teaches the principles through practice. Reading the book is a great supplement, not a prerequisite.
Who is this for? +
Working professionals who write emails, run or attend meetings, present ideas, give or receive feedback, or sell. So: most working professionals. There are four track options inside the app — early-career, managers, sales & marketing, and a general default — so example scenarios match your day-to-day.
Will you add more content later? +
Probably. The first Make Your Point Sprint covers the five core pillars from Simply Said. Future Sprints may cover presentations, written communication for engineers, leadership at scale, or other deeper-dive topics — each one a new 25-day program inside the same app. Paid users get future Sprint content free for at least 12 months from purchase.

Time and commitment

How much time will this take? +
5–10 minutes per day, weekdays only. Total: roughly 2–4 hours of focused work over five weeks.
Do I have to do it every day? +
No. Exercises unlock one per day, but if you miss a day, the next exercise just waits for you. You won't get behind a cohort because there isn't one.
What if I miss several days? +
Nothing happens. Open the app whenever you're ready and pick up where you left off. Your streak resets, but the course doesn't.
Can I do exercises on weekends? +
Yes. Reminders are weekday-only, but the app is open if you want to. Weekend exercises earn a "bonus day" tag and don't break or extend your weekday streak.
Can I do more than one a day? +
By default, no — pacing is part of the design. Paid users can toggle "unlock everything now" if they prefer self-paced.

Tracks

What's the difference between the tracks? +
The exercises are the same; the example scenarios change. A drill that says "rewrite this email" shows you an email-to-manager if you're early-career, an email-to-leadership if you're a manager, a follow-up to a prospect if you're in sales/marketing, or a generic stakeholder email if you're on the general track.
Can I change tracks mid-course? +
Yes, in settings. Your past journal entries persist; only future example scenarios swap.
What if I don't fit a single role? +
Pick "General professional." It uses broad workplace scenarios that work for any role.

Payment and access

Why one-time, not subscription? +
The course is finite — once you've done the 25 days, you've done them. Subscriptions don't fit. Pay once, do the work, keep what you learn.
What's included in the free version? +
Day 1 (full access), the full course outline (locked preview), your account, and your Day 1 journal entry saved. Free is meant to give you a real taste of what the experience is like.
What does "lifetime access" mean? +
All 25 days of the current Sprint, plus any future Sprint content released within 12 months of your purchase. Future Sprints released after that window may be available as separate purchases.
Is there a refund? +
Yes — 7-day full refund if the course isn't right for you. Email us.
Can I gift this to someone? +
Not in v1, but it's on the roadmap. For now, you can buy on someone's behalf and forward them the login.

App & technical

Can I do this on my phone? +
Yes — designed mobile-first. Web works too. Your progress syncs across both.
Do I need to write inside the app? +
The writing drills happen inside the app (text input field). You can do the real-world challenges anywhere; the app just nudges you and gives you a place to log how it went.
Is my journal private? +
Yes. Your entries are stored in your account, only visible to you. You can export them anytime.
What happens after Day 25? +
You get a completion screen, your pillar self-rating comparison (Day 0 vs. Day 25), and your "letter to next-month-you" gets scheduled to arrive in your inbox 30 days later. We'll let you know when new Sprint content is available, but otherwise we go quiet.
